EC 242: ECONOMICS OF ENVIRONMENT & ENERGY

This module examines the interaction between economy and environment and measures to regulate economic activity in order to balance environmental and economics goals. The module further provides an introduction to the role of natural resources, especially energy. Key themes throughout the module are issues of efficiency, sustainability and substitutability. Aims: The aim of the module is to provide students with appropriate analytical and conceptual tools and skills to evaluate the cost and impact of market outcomes and policy initiatives (regulation) related to current energy, environment and climate change objectives.
