The module will consist of 10 lectures, 8 practicals and four tutorial sessions. The lectures in this module are designed to develop a new depth of understanding of hydrological processes and build on the material covered in the Part I modules Climatology and Hydrology. The processes will be related to the two main hydrological issues faced in the world today: flooding and water availability. Case studies and examples of the latest research are included. The issues of flood control and groundwater abstraction are covered in the two tutorials.
